More new stuff...

I've been playing again... actually this is a card I made Monday night in my first play session! I got on a roll!
Used lots of new things on this card too including the Well Scripted stamp set and the Sending Love Specialty paper (it is pre-glittered!). I also used the Polka Dot Textured Impressions folder for the Big Shot again. This time I sent a piece of clear transparency through the big shot to add those polka dots.
I also used the new Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die to make all those butterflies... it not only cuts out the butterflies, but also emobsses them at the same time. Very cool! Lots of different sizes, too.
I'm off to get to work on my Leadership swaps... I'm amazed at how quickly this trip is sneaking up on me! Yikes!
Happy Wednesday!

Another Sneak Peek...

I realized today that I am only one week away from taking my first plane trip all by myself! That also means that I am waaayyy behind in making my card swaps for my first Stampin' Up Leadership event!

I have to be honest I'm very nervous about this adventure, which includes catching connecting flights both to and from Phoenix! -- but I am so excited about attending Leadership... it should be very inspiring and motivating...

I still haven't decided what I want to do for my swaps... but I'm hoping to play some more tonight and I guess I'll have to be a little more focused on creating a card that is easily mass-produced.

Anyway, on to my next sneak peek card... This card uses the Sending Love Designer Series Paper featured in the new Occasions Mini Ccatalog. It also used the our new Sending Love Epoxy Brads (the 1/4" Chocolate Chip version... there are also 1/2 inch versions in Pretty in Pink and Real Red). I made the flower using my full heart punch and arranging them in the form of a flower. Then I stamped the center flower using the new "With All My Heart" stamp set and used the epoxy brad as the center. The sentiment comes from the new "Well Scripted" stamp set that features words for a variety of occasions including Mother's Day, Father's Day, Easter, Congratulations and love.

I'm having a hard time refraining from buying MORE stuff from the new mini catalog -- there is so much in there that I want... I hope you find the new products as exciting as I do! The new catalog goes live on my website on Jan. 5 -- be sure to check it out!

Sneak Peek

Ok... so I've FINALLY had a few minutes to sit down and play with some of my new goodies from the Occasions Mini Catalog set to be released on January 5. (Those of you on my mailing list should be receiving it in your mailbox sometime this week if you don't have it already!)

The best part about this new catalog is that it is being released in conjunction with the fabulous Sale-A-Bration promotion offered by Stampin' Up! So for every $50 you spend from the new catalog (or the big catalog) you receive a free Sale-A-Bration item or, new this year, you can choose one of numerous stamp sets tagged in the 2009-2010 Idea Book and Catalog as part of the Sale-A-Bration promotion ... very fun!

Anyway, this card features four new items from the Occasions Mini Catalog including the "With all My Heart" stamp set, the fine flourish stamp (the background on the white cardstock), the new glitter Designer Series Paper called Sending Love (very pretty) and the new Polka Dot Textured Impressions folder -- I love those things! So easy and fast!

Anyway, I've got a few other cards up my sleeve from today's crafty session -- and hopefully I'll get some time to play some more -- so I'll have lots of sneak peeks for you this week -- so be sure to check back often. Feel free to leave me a comment or two about what you like, too -- I'm curious what all of you think of some of the new product....

Thanks for stopping by!

Winding down

So it's the end of my five days off for Christmas and although I had big plans to spend today in my craft room creating up a storm, I decided to go out and spend some of my Christmas gift cards!

I went to New York and Company, Kohl's and Barnes and Noble and got some great after-Christmas deals. Fun, fun, fun! I love guilt-free shopping!

Speaking of things I love... I love this picture of two of my nephews. The intensity is just too cute! They were playing with the web cam on Michael's (the nephew on the right) new Gateway Netbook (a mini-laptop). I only wish that basket wasn't in Willy's face... oh well... it was real life at the moment -- there really wasn't much space in the house after you load in 18 people and all the coordinating gifts for and from those 18 people! Yikes! lol!

Life is now getting back to normal... which means back to work tomorrow. Bummer! But the good news is I'm hoping to start playing with some of my new stamps and accessories this week so be sure to check back soon for some sneak peeks. The new Occasions Mini Catalog will be available in just over a week... and you are definitely going to want to check it out... lots of fun stuff! I'll share some projects later this week!

I hope you had a great holiday and thanks for stopping by!

Merry Christmas!

From our family to yours, I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a fabulous New Year!
And I want to take a quick moment to thank all of you who have been regularly visiting my blog over the last year! It really means a lot to me (especially when you comment!). It's great to know someone is listening! lol!
Here is our tree this year -- It got brought in the house last weekend (just before the big snowstorm) but didn't get decorated until Wednesday! It's a cute little tree -- even with Matt's tacky red garland (wink, wink).
Have a fabulous holiday ... and be sure to check back soon!

Winter Wonderland

This was the view from my scrapbook room today, which is where I was from the wee hours of the morning until 10 p.m. (minus a fab-u-lous nap during the late morning -- is that not the best - a nap on a cold and snowy day!!).

I was in my stamp room finishing my Christmas cards and getting them set to mail... I still have quite a bit of work to do -- so if you are expecting a card from me -- it may be a little later than usual!

I have to get through two more days of work before I can completely focus on preparing for the holiday -- still have Christmas cards to finish, baking to do, LOTS of cleaning to do, LOTS of shopping to do and of course tons of wrapping! Whew... I'm tired just thinking about it!

Nighty-Night!

On Santa's naughty list...

Ok, so I am a very bad blogger this week. Does anyone find themselves buried in holiday preparations? Every year I say I'm going to stop procrastinating and I DON'T DO IT! What is wrong with me? lol!
Anyway, we have 18 people coming to the house for Christmas so there's lots of cleaning on tap, many, many more holiday cards to make, some gathering with friends and family, a few remaining Stampin' Up events and of course, some holiday parties to tend to... so the blog has kind of taken a back seat! Sorry about that...
Anyway, today is the beginning of the 12 days or Christmas Sale for Stampin' Up. If you own the Big Shot or any Sizzix machine or compatible die-cutting machine you'll definitely want to check it out. Lots of deep discounts on various dies and embossing products. Plus, there are a lot of different colored vinyl sheets available for use in your Big Shot. So imagine your favorite die in chalkboard vinyl for your wall... I'm definitely going to be buying some of that... I think it is so cool. And just a little sneaky-peeky -- the new decor elements coming out in January include some images that have chalkboard elements. Very cool!

And some other news... I've started my own Etsy shop. For those of you who are not aware of Etsy.com, it's a great buy and sell website featuring all handmade items. So some of my cards and pre-made scrapbook pages are up there for your perusal...

Sorry about the lame, no picture blog post... I promise I'll have some more entertaining entries after the craziness of the holiday.

Best of 2009 challenge....

I never do enough reflecting, or writing about me and my life in my scrapbooks, journals or otherwise. So I've decided to participate in Gwen Bell's The Best of 2009 Challenge.
The idea is to reflect on the best aspects of 2009... best trip, best meal, best album, best inspiration... etc. Some of the prompts speak to me more than others -- particularly the first one, which is why I couldn't resist participating!
You should try it, too -- even if you don't have a blog -- write it down somewhere -- in a journal or to keep for journaling in your scrapbook later -- it's good to sometimes think about yourself once in a while!
Anyway the first prompt is best trip. And hands down I have to say the impromptu trip Matt and I took to Hampton Beach, N.H. in September was my favorite trip. That is the first time we've ever just got in the car and started driving, not knowing where we'd end up.
It was also the first time I've ever seen a sunrise (see above) -- I'm a night owl, so mornings are not my thing, but we got up early and watched the sunrise over Hampton Beach from our top floor hotel room. Gorgeous.
Matt tricked me, though, and wouldn't let me go back to bed afterwards! But it was O.K. because we got up and had a leisurely breakfast, wandered around the stores for a bit and then beached it for about 6 hours! The best part was the whole time we were on the beach we didn't know what our next move was. We didn't have a hotel for the night, our clothes and belongings were just packed up in the car and we just sat. on the beach. for hours. Fabulous.
We wandered away for some lunch and returned with some ice cream and continued to watch the people in front of us have a mini-concert with a guitar and three singers. The group beside us had a softball game with about 20 people. And dozens of Moms and Dads wandered around the beach with little tykes in tow. I love people watching.
What was really amazing to me, too, was that this is the first and only trip that had the same feel to me as our honeymoon. I've always said that our honeymoon had a special feeling to it -- unlike other vacations... it was somehow different. I don't know if it was because it was such a relief after nine months of planning a wedding, or the excitement of actually being married and starting our life together, or just the newness of experiencing California for the first time --- something was just special about that trip. And for some reason, the trip to Hampton Beach had the same feeling and I loved it!
**********************************************
I'm not sure if I will participate with all of the Best of 2009 Challenges, but I do like the idea a lot and some of the prompts really do speak to me... so I'm sure you'll hear a little more about what I loved about 2009! I hope you don't mind (wink, wink)!
In the meantime, I just placed my pre-order for the new Stampin' Up Occasions mini-catalog product -- and oh my gosh am I excited.... I had a really hard time (and I know I say this every time, but I mean a REALLY hard time) deciding what to order...
There are so many great things to choose and as a demonstrator we got an EXTRA 10% off stamps in this mini (for a total of 30%) so it was hard NOT to order some of the insanely cute sets....
Stay tuned to the blog for some sneak peeks towards the end of the month... I'm planning a little countdown before the release on Jan. 5.
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Friday (almost)!

Hi There....

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving... I had every intention of popping on to say happy Turkey Day, but well, I got caught up spending time with the fam.

The past two days I've been buried in Designer Series Paper, cardstock, inks and stamps as I planned my second Holiday Stamp-A-Stack of the year for Wednesday, Dec. 2.

I still have a little bit of space if you are interested in coming... e-mail me ASAP and I'll add you to the list.

This card isn't actually one of the Stamp-A-Stack cards -- actually it is a card I made from the scraps leftover on my desk... I really need to use up my scraps more often! This card came together probably in about 2 minutes and I think it's really cute... (It looks much better in person -- taking photos at night in my stamping room isn't really ideal)

There is still time to order supplies for the holidays -- need more cardstock? Would you like some pretty paper to play with? Or how about a new stamp set? Feel free to email me with any orders you'd like or you can go to my online store and order directly from the website. In fact, you may want to check out the clearance section - we've added some more items there at great prices.

Hope your week is off to a great start... thanks for stopping by.

Check out my new blog header!

So I was playing with My Digital Studio, the new digital paper crafting software from Stampin' Up!, this morning and made a new blog header.

It's actually very simple to do. Check out more information on My Digital Studio here.

So my first attempt is very simplistic but I hope to play with MDS a little bit more and maybe create one that is a little more complex.

But for now, what do you think?

Another Progessive Scrapbook Page...

So I was playing again in the scrapbook room and wanted to create another Progressive Scrapbook Page -- meaning I started with a 6 X 6 layout, turned that into a 8.5 X 11 layout and then finally made a 12 X 12.

As I mentioned in this post, I like doing this sometimes when I'm stumped because it's sometimes easier to start with a small canvas.

So for the 6 X 6, I started with a 6 X 6 piece of Real Red Stampin' Up cardstock and then used two small accent pieces from the Christmas Cocoa Specialty paper from the Holiday Mini Catalog.

Next I used the Top Note Bigz Die and my Sizzix die-cutting machine to create the small journaling area and then used the new Stampin' Up snowflake punch and clear rhinestone brads for an embellishment.

Next up, I needed to turn this page into this:

So I put the 6 X 6 page I started with and added it to a larger piece of Whisper white cardstock. I added some linen thread with a tag from the Christmas Punch hostess set. Then I attached the photos and taped the white cardstock to an 8.5 X 11 piece of Sahara Sand paper.

I cut out the title (which I just now realized is spelled wrong... Ugh, got to fix that!) with my Go Go Boots alphabet for the Big Shot. The snowflakes were punched out with the SU punch and glittered with dazzling diamonds glitter.

Lastly, I added a few more pieces of the Christmas Cocoa specialty paper to a 12 X 12 piece of Whisper White cardstock to create this:

So there you have it... if it were not for the spelling error, I'd really like this page! Off to see if I can fix it... have a great night!

Have A Blast

I'm trying to get back into a regular posting schedule as I've been somewhat MIA recently...
Sorry 'bout that! I'm trying to be better, promise!
This card is one I made for a challenge to using doodling on a card. Doodling is not generally my thing... don't get me wrong, I love to journal on my notebooks and on the little paper by the phone, but for some reason doodling on a card or a scrapbook page scares me... a lot!
Perhaps it's the perfectionist in me... but I just don't ever think to do it.
Anyway, I'm happy with the way this one came out. It is actually one of those projects where the idea actually popped into my head overnight and I had to get up early one Saturday morning to carry it out!
I wrote out the numbers, the stars and the squiggles all by myself :o) and used my signo white gel pen to add most of the accents. All supplies are Stampin' Up!
I think this would be a great card for little boys... and you could even highlight the number that represents his age... wish I had thought of that before I colored in the one... Matt's godsons' birthday party is this weekend, but he is going to be 8.
Well, that's all for now.... hope your week is off to a great start!

Nov 15, 2009

Lazy Sunday...

Hello there! I am having a rather lazy Sunday. Didn't get up until 9:30! and now I'm just flitting around cleaning up here, stamping this, reading that, watching the tube, etc.

I love days when I don't have anything I "HAVE" to do. I wish it were a little nicer out so I could go for a walk or something, but alas, it's not!

Maybe if I get really ambitious (although it's not looking good for my ambition) I'll do my yoga tape later. It's only 20 minutes, but boy I sure do feel it the next day!

I made this scrapbook page last weekend when I was at the Crazy For Croppin event here in Hyannis. I wanted to put together a very simple, coordinated 8.5 X 11 album about my Sturbridge trip earlier this year with my Mom, Sister, SIL and niece.

I managed to do a couple of pages last week, but this is the only one that is actually finished. The others don't have titles or journaling... I kind of lost steam last weekend. Maybe I'll finish those up today.

This album is going to be for me to keep, but I also want to work on using my new My Digital Studio software to create a hardcover book of our trips including LOTS of photos for my Mom for a Christmas present. I just need a little dedicated time to work on that... maybe later today.

Boy I've already got a long list of "maybe later todays" after writing this blog post! So much for a lazy day, huh? I think the first order of business is to get some grub in my tummy...

Hope you have a fabulous Sunday!

Take a look at Build-A-Bear

Hi there! Hope your week is off to a good start... I'm feeling a little behind trying to get caught up after a scrapbooking retreat this weekend.

I was a vendor at the Crazy For Croppin' event here on the Cape Thursday through Sunday and had a lot of fun.

I didn't, however, get much accomplished in the scrapbooking department! Oh well... it was still fun to teach a class and reconnect with some scrapping friends I only get to see twice a year.

I did manage to play with my new Build-A-Bear Big Shot dies and Pawsitively Prints Designer Series Paper. I made the two cuties above Friday. The dies are so very cute and they have so many different options!

I also played with the new Build-A-Bear stamp set called Beary Best Friends and the coordinating sentiment set called Beary Nice Wishes. I made these two cards as a make-and-take for the ladies at the event:

I need to finish the couple of scrapbook pages I did over the weekend before I post them here. I just need to add some journaling and titles to a couple of pages before they are ready to be posted.
Attending the event did put me in the mood to scrapbook as I listened to all the pages the ladies got done. One woman finished 69 pages over the weekend! I am a slow scrapper so the most I usually do at a weekend event like that is 12! Oh well... it's still fun no matter how many pages you complete.
For those of you who would like to attend a really fun Crop event, you should check out the Crop on the Cape, hosted by the fabulous Colorful Creations Scrapbooking store in Hyannis. I will be a vendor at this year's event and I'm so excited! The Crop takes place Thursday, March 25 through Sunday, March 28, 2009.
Click here to find out more.
Hope you have a great week and thanks for stopping by....

The Chaos....

Have you ever wondered what my scrap room looks like before Stamp Club, an event or a big project (probably not, but humor me)? Well here it is.... this is the chaos of my stamp room tonight as I finish putting together the card packs for tomorrow's Holiday Card Stamp-A-Stack.
The worst part about this? Just this past weekend I cleaned my scrap room so that I could see the floor again.... ah, it never lasts long!
Happy Hump day (tomorrow).... Thanks for stopping by!

Oops... the giveaway!

I totally forgot that I owe you a winner in the Halloween giveaway! I posted here a chance to win this fabulous "Home is built of love and dreams" decor elements and then forgot to announce a winner on Halloween!

So without any further ado... the winner is.... BEE! Congrats Bee. Thanks for playing along.

I believe I am going to see you this week so I will bring your prize along...

Well I have lots of work today -- both of the "real" job and the Stampin' job variety. I hope you have a great Tuesday and thanks for stopping by!

Nov 2, 2009

A Productive Weekend...

Happy Monday after Halloween. I hope you had a fantasticly haunting holiday! For me, Halloween isn't much of a holiday anymore... :o( No kiddos and no trick-or-treaters here at the Pitta Household -- so it seems like any other day around here.
Oh well, I enjoyed checking out some friends pics on various blogs and Facebook pages -- some real super cuties haunting the streets!
Perhaps due to the lack of excitement for me on Halloween, I was very productive in my stamp room. I have two big events this week... the first is a Holiday Stamp-A-Stack on Wednesday and then I am a vendor at the Crazy For Cropping Scrapbooking Retreat from Thursday through Sunday. I'm also teaching a class there. Lots and lots of designing and prep work to do.
For once I was a good girl and starting some designing and prepping WAY ahead of time for me -- five days ahead! I know, that's not really that good -- but I'm working on it.
I thought you might like to see some of the cards the folks attending my Holiday Stamp-A-Stack will be making on Wednesday.

I still have a couple of spots open if you are interested in coming to the Holiday Stamp-A-Stack at 5 p.m. on Wednesday at the Chatham Community Center. Cost is $10 for 10 cards (2 each of all designs).
Also, it's not too late to start planning your Holiday Cards! If you'd like to book a workshop to make holiday cards or if you'd like to get together for a Holiday Card consultation I still have a few days available in November. Feel free to e-mail me for more information.
Hope you have a fantastic Monday!

Naughty girl...

Hi everyone! I forgot to update my blog for the new deals of the week this week! This is the last one and it's a good one if you've got little kiddos... or you just like to feel like a kid again! lol!

From now through October 31 (Saturday), you can order either the Princess party kit or the Pirate party kit for just $9.99. They both are usually $15.95.

Check out the photos of the kits below.

You can order either kit online here. That's all for today.... I'm off to curl up in my bed with a good book... it's definitely a good book in bed kind of night (very windy and rainy here on good ol' Cape Cod!) Nighty-night!

Oct 24, 2009

I'm trying...

I'm really a summer girl... I'm just not a fan of cold weather. But I took this picture during our most recent vacation and I love it.

I love the "newness" of fall -- it almost seems like a fresh start to me. Maybe it's from my days of going back to school in early September... I'm not sure.

And if it wasn't the pre-cursor to the season I like least each year, I think I would actually enjoy the fall!

I love the pumpkins laid out across lawns (the ones still in tact -- not those strewn across the roadways), I love the little scarecrows guarding the soon-to-be dormant gardens. I love the changing colors of the trees and the leaves crunching under my feet. I love sipping hot chocolate cuddled on the couch as the wind whips through the trees.

I just wish that it came at a different time of year so I could focus on all these wonderful aspects of the season instead of knowing that it just means the dreaded "s" word (snow) is just around the corner....

Do you think we could we swap spring and fall? lol!

Thanks for stopping by today... and don't forget to enter my drawing here.

Oct 23, 2009

Happy Halloween... early!

Good Morning! I'm up early today and I went to bed really late last night! I'm not sure why I can't sleep -- but I'm really glad it's Friday.

I was playing around with a new Halloween Stamp Set I got last night. I still can't decide if I like this card or not.

I think I will try some more tonight... although I really should be working on Holiday cards instead of Halloween... but you know how it is when you get new toys!

I used to love Halloween when I was a kid but since I've never had trick-or-treaters at any of my apartments/houses and I don't have any kids to doll up in cute costumes... it's really not all that exciting for me anymore!

A few years ago (I think about 4 or 5) Matt and I celebrated at a party at a bar in Eastham... I think it was called Jimmy's. We came in third place and won some sports tickets that we never used... but we had fun anyway!

Ha! This still cracks me up.... My hat looks like I stole it from the McDonald's Hamburgular -- remember him?

Hope you have a great day!

Oct 21, 2009

Giveaway Day...

Well, I didn't get around to photographing any of my recent crafty adventures today, so I figured I would instead reward you, my fabulous blog readers, with a giveaway day.

I have this Decor Elements "Home" wall vinyl to give away... I earned it as part of my demonstrator perks and have yet to find a home (ha, no pun intended!) for it. Sooo, it will go to one of you.

It says, "Home is built of love and dreams" and looks fabulous in this picture, which was taken by a fellow demonstrator, Shawna Mackenzie. Doesn't it look great with that photo grouping?

She also used some of the "Flourishes" Decor Elements to accent a couple of the pictures. The "Home" decor element was a hostess gift and is no longer available for purchase so this is one of the few ways you can get your hands on it. (yipee!)

So in order to be included in my drawing, submit a comment on this post (or e-mail me with your response) and answer what kinds of classes you wish I offered (Stamp set of the month, Stamp-A-Stack, Scrapbooking etc.) by Friday, Oct. 30 and I will award someone with the "treat" on Halloween!

Thanks for stopping by today...

Please don't leave me...

I know, I know. It's been over a week since my last post! I apologize for that...

Matt and I took off for a short little vacation... yes, in Vegas... again! We had lots of fun with some friends of ours who visited Sin City with us.

Now it's back to reality! That's always so difficult... sometimes I wonder if the time off is even worth it... getting readjusted to "real life", diving back into work and getting the house up to par after several days of absence.

Alas, it is all really worth it -- I'm just whining... and I shouldn't be. It was a great trip.

However, this means I have things to catch you up on as well. The newest "Deals of the Week" have been posted on my website... you can see them here. I know a lot of you are a fan of the library clips Stampin' Up offers and the mini ones as well and both of them are part of the sales this week so be sure to check them out.

The first digital download for My Digital Studio has already been released as well. If you haven't ordered your copy of this new software... you may want to consider it. Especially this month. With the hostess promotion in October, with a $400 workshop (this could be a catalog show as well) you can earn My Digital Studio software for only about $40! You can see read more about My Digital Studio here and see a video about it here.

Stampin' Up is also offering a special starter kit for new demonstrators that you can read about here.

I guess that is all for now... I hope to be back tomorrow with some crafty items.... We'll see how the day goes!

'Til then... hope you have a great day.

Progressive pages...

So those of you who are scrapbookers probably know what progressive scrapbook pages are. Searching the internet for progressive scrapbook pages will likely bring up plenty of samples -- as this is not a new idea. But I wanted to put together a progressive page to demonstrate in one of my recent workshops.

So basically what you do is start with a 6 X 6 page and then build upon it to make it an 8.5 X 11 page and then ultimately a 12 X 12 page. I unfortunately forgot to take pictures of this one in progress, but I've strategically cropped my photo of my layout so that you'll get the idea. So what I started with was this:

I used a whisper white 6 X 6 piece of cardstock and stamped the Medallion stamp in crushed curry in the lower right hand corner. I stamped the image again on a separate sheet of whisper white cardstock and punched out the center and layered it on top of the medallion on my scrapbook page.

Once I had the 6 X 6 page, I wanted to incorporate that page into an 8.5 X 11 scrapbook page. I added the page to an 8.5 X 11 sheet of chocolate chip cardstock, added a few more photos and a title and voila:

In the original version I didn't have the long photo or the ribbon -- I actually added those when I made it into a 12 X 12, but as I mentioned earlier I forgot to take photos during the process... so you get the idea.

I love using this process when I'm feeling a little stumped staring at a big 12 X 12 page -- it's kind of like freewriting to remedy writer's block. You take small steps until your creative mojo comes back.

Here is the final layout:

Here's another example of a finished progressive page... unfortunately, again, I did not take photos during the process -- but I think you'll be able to easily pick out the original 6 X 6 page and the 8.5 X 11 page within the bigger 12 X 12 final layout:

Well, that's all for today... thanks for stopping by!

A special day...

It's so hard to believe it's already been 3 years since this wonderful day!

Despite Matt's confusion, Oct. 7 is our wedding anniversary! He tried to tell me this weekend that our wedding date was Oct. 6... umm... since I made 135 invitations (with the helping of some fabulous friends -- see the photo of them below) I think I should know!! ;o)

We had a fabulous lunch at DiParma in Yarmouth to celebrate because silly hubby had to work tonight...

He was very sweet though leaving me cards and little gifts throughout the day (even though he said no presents! I'm still mad at you about that!)

I look at these pictures and can't believe we've already flown through three years! And even though I joke a lot about how goofy my husband can be sometimes, I love him to pieces for simple reasons like this boyish little grin he has:

(It usually comes out when he is up to something... but I love it nonetheless)!
I love that he is always so excited to see me every day -- no matter how bad the day has been. I love that he is so thoughtful buying me the bagels I like and making sure there is always enough of my cran-apple juice in the fridge. I love that he is an amazing cook (although my jeans don't necessarily agree)!
I love that even though he talks to thousands of people each day (on the radio), it's me that gets to here that sexy voice of his on the phone every day (often multiple times a day!) ;o)
I love when we have our planned or impromtu trips usually to Vegas or some quaint New England town... having time to be just "us" is always wonderful.
I love that even though we've had three amazing years together, we still have many, many years to share so many more days together.
Here's a few more pictures from our fabulous day: Oct. 7, 2006

Now if I could just scrap some of these! lol! Have a great day....

Some more scrappy goodness...

Hi all! I managed to squeek out a couple more scrapbook pages late last week in preparation for my Scrapbooking 101 class I held at the Harwich Council on Aging on Friday.

I made these two scrapbook pages, plus the other three posted here and here and here all using the Happy B-Day Simply Scrappin' kit.

I could probably make two or three more layouts using that same kit, too! Lots and lots of supplies in those kits to make both scrapbook pages and cards.

So on the layout above I was actually catching up on a layout I started hmmm... 9 years ago! I know, bad. You can see that two of the photos are cut into ovals because those were the days when I was all about cutting all my pictures into shapes... and you know what, I really like how the page came out! I popped the two oval pictures up using stampin' dimensionals and did a bit of distressing around the certainly celery background paper.

The second page I did is of my nephew's fourth birthday party -- he turned 13 this past weekend... so no worries if you are behind a few years ;o) I've actually stopped scrapping chronologically -- and now I just work on what speaks to me... It's very freeing!

Fairly simple page -- I like to do at least one birthday party page for each of my nephews and my niece - well for at least as long as they had family b-day parties. It's the one time I really don't stress about writing fancy journaling! :o) This one just says, "Michael celebrates his 4th birthday party with family and friends" Ta-Da! Easy-peasy....

Hope you have a great day!
