Some fun Club projects

Whew! I had a very busy April with SIX Stampin' Up events! Now that April is over I have a chance to breathe a little bit and hope to be able to get a few scrapbooking pages done for May, which is National Scrapbooking Month. In my stamp club this month we did a 6 X 6 layout using the new Sense of Time stamp set (page 22) in the new Mini Catalog. You can see that layout below.
We also worked on a cute flower pot card that would be a great Mother's Day, Get Well or Thinking of you card. I made mine a get well card because Mom already has a special request for Mom's Day. I'm going to make her a paper tree (hopefully) and will try and post when I finish. I was inspired by several versions of this flower pot card on splitcoaststampers.com and came up with the flowers from this class on Back Porch memories.

Hope you enjoyed the projects.... Stay tuned for more projects (particularly scrapbook pages) in the coming week and perhaps a giveaway (hint, hint).

I love a clean scraproom!

Ok, I know this weekend was WAY too gorgeous to be inside cleaning my scraproom, but having my Big Shot hidden away in my closest just wasn't working for me. So while just trying to tidy up a bit, I ended up doing a full-fledged cleaning... well of at least a corner of my scraproom.... I'll save the rest for another, less spectacular day! So this is the new set up for the big shot....

The dies are on the shelf with the machine on the top of the bookshelf, which is located directly behind my scrap table.... so cool! So now I'm hoping I'll reach for it a little more often now that I don't have to dig the machine out of its bag and then dig the die I want out of the bottom of the closet.
I'm planning on playing with the new texturz plates I have so check back soon for some new samples.
Tommorrow I'll be back to share a couple of projects that my Stampin' Up club members go to create this month....
Thanks for stoppin' by!

Creative lapse

Do you ever go through phases where you just can't bring your creativity out of hiding? I'm going through an inspiration rut. No matter how many times I sit down to create something I just end up sitting there and staring at blank paper. I know it's most likely because I'm putting too much pressure on myself, but I just can't help it. I'm a perfectionist. And I'm also a procrastinator, which doesn't always help either.

I've been working on the same scrapbook page for about a month now and I'm still not any closer to finishing it. I think it's time to just put it in a bag and set it aside for now.... start something new.

Cards haven't been any easier for me these days. I've reincarnated a design I did for club a couple months ago twice now to use as a card swap. The second two versions are essentially the same except for a change of paper and embellishment... I just haven't had it in me to come up with something new. Frustrating!

Here's hoping my creativity will make a comeback soon! Until then, here is the card swap (second reincarnation):
