It's Time To Sale-A-Brate!

Today is one of the most long-awaited days of the year for Stampin' Up demonstrators and customers. It's the start of Sale-A-Bration!

For every $50 you spend (at one time) from now through March 22nd you'll be able to earn one of the fabulous Sale-A-Bration exclusive products for free!

These cards are made with the Feeling Sentimental Stamp set. It's personally one of my favorites for this year's Sale-A-Bration offerings. I used all four images from the set on these cards: The phone booth, the bike, the ferris wheel and the word "Celebrate." For the background paper I used the adorable 4.5 X 6.5 Print Poetry Designer Series paper stack (this would also be great for mounting photos in your scrapbooks!).

I started with the wonderful note-cards and envelopes and just started playing! I love how these came out and I want to share them with you! Place an order of $50 or more in my online store between now and tomorrow (January 23) at 7 p.m. and I will send you these three cards in the mail as an extra gift from me!

To help you out even a bit further -- in case you need help getting to $50 (which I'm sure is not the case with our new Spring Catalog), here is a little kit I put together that will include most of the supplies I used on these cards so you could recreate them at home:

Notecards & Envelopes (item #107311) for $5.95
Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack (item #129312) for $6.95
Very Vanilla Seam Binding (item#120999) for $6.95
A little Greeting Stamp set (item #129111) for $7.95
Three ink pads of your choice of colors: $5.95 X 3 = $17.85
(I used Midnight Muse, #126860; Primrose Petal, #126858; and Lucky Limeade, #126984)
Dazzling Diamonds Glitter (item #102023) for $4.50
Two-Way Glue Pen (item #100425) for $3.50

That totals $53.65 so you could get the Feeling Sentimental Stamp Set for FREE! Go online now to order this package and earn these adorable cards for free! Or pick $50 of product of your choice and I'll still send you these cuties in the mail! Remember, your order needs to be placed by 7 p.m. (EST) tomorrow!

Happy Sale-A-Brating!

SAB Countdown: Day 9!

Hello there! Welcome to the next installment of my Sale-A-Bration countdown. Can you believe tomorrow is the big day?

This card is one of the swaps I received at leadershiop last week... isn't it cute? It was made by Cheryl Letner, a fellow demonstrator from Florida.

Don't you wish you could meet all sorts of uber cool, ultra creative chicks (and men!) from all over the country each year? In addition to the awesome Sale-A-Bration exclusive items available during this awesome promotion -- there is also a fantastic deal on the starter kit that would give you the key to tons and tons of online video product training, samples as well as an invite to events such as Convention and Leadership. Starting tomorrow you can join the Stampin' Up family for just $99, but instead of picking the usual $125 worth of free Stampin' Up product of your choice for your kit -- you get to pick $156.50 worth of product for just $99! (That's 25% more to celebrate Stampin' Up's 25th year... cool, huh?) E-mail me if you'd like to get started or if you have questions.

Meanwhile, back to the card -- this features the adorable Patterned Occasions Sale-A-Bration set and the Sycamore Street Designer series paper. It also has the Sale-A-Bration ribbon from the ribbon and button pack AND the sentiment is from the petite labels stamp set, which is punched with the awesome bitty label punch. Whew...that's a lot of Sale-A-Brating!

Be sure to come back tomorrow for Day 1 of Sale-A-Bration! Exciting!!

SAB Countdown: Day 8

Hello again! Thanks for staying with me for this countdown of Sale-A-Bration cards.

Don't you just love this one? It was a swap from simple card exchange at Leadership in Orlando. It was made by the wonderful Ronda Wade. (Sorry I didn't have a chance to make a sample of my own. It's always great to see other people's styles, though, isn't it?)

I love the fold on this. The front flap is embossed with the Sale-A-Bration Vine Textured Impressions Embossing folder. The stamp is from the Patterned Occasions stamp set -- yet another option available for free with a $50 order from January 22 - March 22nd. This set would definitely be one of my first Sale-A-Bration items to scoop up.

The sentiment says: Thanks a ton! Cute, huh? I don't have the card in front of me right now so I will update this post tomorrow with the measurements of this card because I know you're going to want to make one of your own! In fact, you could make this type of card for every stamp in this set -- it would make a great gift or a simple way to get a bunch of cards on hand for any last minute card need you may have.

Just two more sleeps until Sale-A-Bration starts!! Need a brochure? E-mail me and I'd be happy to get one in the mail to you pronto!

SAB Countdown: Day 7

Can you believe we are only three days away from the start of Sale-A-Bration? I am so excited about the offerings and I think you will be, too!

If you don't already have a Sale-A-Bration brochure and you don't already have a Stampin' Up demonstrator, feel free to e-mail me and I'd be happy to pop one in the mail for you!

Anyway, back to today's card. It features the stamp set Patterned Occasions. It's a super cute set of images paired with cute-sy sentiments. I love it! For this card I used my marker directly on my stamp to color the cupcake three different colors (Calypso Coral, Pool Party and Daffodil Delight). In case you can't read it in this picture, the greeting is: Happy Birthday, Cupcake!

I actually made this card for a swap at Leadership last week that was supposed to feature simple cards that would be easy to use in a card class or workshop. I got so many great ideas!

I just noticed now that this sample is missing the little rhinestone I added as an after thought. I put it on the chevron cupcake liner -- sort of to the right. Very simple, but also very easy if you need a quick card!

Well, I'm off for now... Be sure to come back tomorrow for another card using the Patterned Occasions stamp set.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

SAB Countdown: Day 6

Don't you just love this paper? I liked it so much I used it as really the sole focal point of my card. The pattern on the paper reminds me of those coloring books you had as a kid that were a bunch of kaleidoscope images... do you remember those?

Anyway, this card is pretty simple. It uses the Honeycomb Textured Impression Embossing Folder (LOVE it!). Also on this card is one of the three colors of satin-like ribbon you get in the Sale-A-Bration ribbon and button pack and the cute little "thanks so much" tag made with the Tiny Tags stamp set and the jewelry tag punch. That has to be one of my very favorite go-to stamp and punch combinations.

I used this card as a swap at Leadership in Orlando -- but it was certainly a "limited edition" as I only had 13! (Just in case you're not aware of how swapping works -- most demonstrators make over 100 cards for swapping).

Ok... so I think I'm ready to transition to a new Sale-A-Bration stamp set. This one doesn't even use a stamp set, actually! But I'm ready to feature some of the other fabulous sets... now just to decide which one to play with first! :)

Happy Friday!

Jan 17, 2013

SAB Countdown: Day 5

Happy mid-week! Well, actually it is the wee morning hours as I write this so I guess it is no longer mid-week, but instead late week! That's always a good thing, right? One more day until Friday. Yipee!

This is my last card using the Madison Avenue stamp set (at least for a while)... but again, it's just so dang versatile. I used the little leaf-y image for a flower stem and used the large silver buttons as the flower. What do you think? Something a little outside of the box for me.

Love, love, love the new cloudy day embossing folder that I used on the Pool Party cardstock here. It is actually an embossing folder that looks great on either side (the opposite side looks like paper piercing -- very cool).

Th Sale-A-Bration paper is prominently featured again on this card (Sycamore Street) and I also used two strips of the Sale-A-Bration ribbon on this card, too. Can you believe you get three rolls of ribbon and 36 coordinating buttons all as ONE free Sale-A-Bration item? Awesome deal.

So are you excited about Sale-A-Bration yet? No? Alright.... I'll be back again tomorrow with another card to show you.

Thanks so much for visiting and have a great day!

SAB Countdown: Day 4

Hello There! Welcome back to my Sale-A-Bration Countdown. It's good to be back in the swing of things. I was so disappointed when Blogger wasn't cooperating.

I love the color combo on this card... of course it was taken right out of the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper -- not from my little brain. I love that feature about our DSP -- it has built in color combinations. Actually, I sometimes even go back to my old Stampin' Up catalogs (Yes, I have them all since my very first in 2005) and pull up color combinations from paper and card samples in those books. It's even great for fresh new layouts -- afterall what's old is new, right?

Anyway, I digress. Back to the card. This one still features the Madison Avenue stamp set and the Sycamore Street DSP. It also has one of the adorable little buttons that are part of the ribbon/brad combo (another SAB pick). It's really quite an impressive deal with three rolls of ribbon (Pool Party, Tangerine Tango and Island Indigo) and 36 brads (in coordinting colors) -- all for free with a $50 order. Talk about bang for your buck!

I also used the Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder from the spring catalog -- Oh my goodness, I am in love with that one! The sentiment was using Teeny, Tiny Wishes -- another fantastic and versatile set.

So do you have a favorite out of the cards I've shown this far? It's too difficult for me to pick -- it would be like choosing a favorite child! ;)

Have a great day and be sure to stop back tomorrow for more Sale-A-Bration shinanigans!

SAB Countdown: Day 3 (for real)

Don't you just love the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper? It's the paper that has been featured on all three of my SAB Countdown projects and it's also an exclusive Sale-A-Bration item available for free with a $50 order during Sale-A-Bration (January 22 - March 22).

This is a multi-layer, but simple card layout. I really wanted to highlight the beautiful paper, but still used the Madison Avenue stamp set (another Sale-A-Bration item) as I did in this post and this one.

I'll switch to another stamp set soon -- I just want to make sure you see all of the versatility of this stamp set! It's funny because when I first looked at the Sale-A-Bration brochure I didn't really see a whole lot of ways to use this set, but I forced myself to pull it out first when my new goodies arrived and I'm thinking it may be one of the most versatile sets of the bunch! Go figure!

I also used the Curly Cute stamp set from the main catalog -- that is so useful on so many different cards. It's really a must have if you ask me!

So, tell me, has the Madison Avenue Stamp set of the Sycamore Street Designer series paper made it to your must have list yet?

Top Five Tuesday: Leadership Highlights

Howdy, friends! This last week just flew by! I was at the annual Leadership Conference for Stampin' Up in Orlando, Florida from Wednesday to Sunday last week and my head is still spinning from all the great ideas I learned. It was such a fun time. So I thought for my "Top Five Tuesday" post this week I would share my top five highlights from leadership:

ONE: A big highlight for me was the weather! Sunshine and 80 degrees was a welcomed changed from the 28 degrees I left behind on Old Cape Cod. It was great to have the flip flops out again!

TWO: This announcement is super exciting for me! I had just launched my own Stamp Club To Go program (today is the last day to RSVP, by the way) where you pay $40 and receive $30 in products and four projects that I design shipped to your door each month (the extra $10 pays for shipping). This first month is featuring the Henry Says stamp set from the spring catalog. The Paper Pumpkin program is one great, simple project delievered to your door each month that you can complete in 30 minutes or less for just $19.95! It's great for those of you who are super busy and just don't have time to stamp... now you do! You can sign up now even though your first kit won't be mailed until March -- I already did!
THREE: This video is too funny and it features a brand new product (item #132807) that is going to be awesome for boys and girls alike. What do you see yourself making with this kit?

FOUR: Attending Managers Reception for the first time was a huge, huge highlight for me -- especially considering it was at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! We got to go on all the rides we wanted, enjoyed as much Butterbeer as we liked and enjoyed some tasty treats including yummy chocolate Cauldron Cakes.

FIVE: Me and Shelli Gardner, the co-founder and CEO of Stampin' Up have the same stamping style, I think! I loved all of the projects she showcased in her stamping presentation using the Tea For Two suite. For someone who said she didn't really care for the suite at first, she totally rocked the projects (she said after that now it is one of her very favorite suites, ever)! I loved them all, but here are a few of my favorites:

These were an adorable little set of
3 X 3 cards... I'm totally making these for hostess gifts this month! Anyone want to host a workshop with me and get these cards as part of your gifts??
A cute little packet of cards....

And a gorgeous banner she created.... this is just a portion of it... super pretty!

Well, that's a very quick update. Now that I've found a work-around for the whole posting pictures thing, I'll be back tonight with the next Countdown to Sale-A-Bration post -- so sorry for the hiatus there, but I've still got some great projects to share.

Don't forget, you can order any of the products you see on my blog in my online store. Some of the highlights from today include:

Paper Pumpkin Monthly Subscription
Dude, You're Welcome Kit
Oh, Hello Stamp Set
Tea for Two Designer Series Paper
Swallowtail Buttlerfly Stamp
Paper Doilies

Thanks for stopping by today... don't forget, I'll be back later. Promise!

SAB Countdown: Day 3 (sort of)

Ok... so I've been trying all day (since early this morning, I swear!) to make good on the day I missed yesterday and Blogger is just not cooperating! I can't get it to allow me to upload a photo... therefore, I am now behind on Day 3 and Day 4 of my Sale-A-Bration countdown.

I promise... I'm still working on it and as soon as I get it back up and running I will post, post away!! Thanks for being patient with me!

SAB Countdown: Day 2!

Follow Me on Pinterest
Good Morning! I hope 2013 is treating you well... I'm excited to have the next couple of days off to play with some of my new toys and get ready for my trip to the Stampin' Up Leadership event next week! Yipee!

Thanks for joining me for day two of my Sale-A-Bration countdown. This card again uses the Madison Avenue Stamp set. I have to admit I wasn't to impressed with the stamp set until I started playing with it - it really is sooo versatile!

I love the new cloudy day embossing folder I used on this card -- it's available in the new spring catalog that goes live tomorrow (item #127022). So fun! I also used some more of the special Sale-A-Bration Designer Series Paper called Sycamore Street. It's so bright and cheery.

Just a quick post today... still feeling a little under the weather so I'm off to lounge for a while on the couch. I'll be back tomorrow, though, with another card featuring the Madison Avenue Stamp Set.

SAB Countdown: Day One

Follow Me on Pinterest
Hello! Welcome to day 1 of my Sale-A-Bration countdown. For the next few days I'll be focusing on the Madison Avenue Stamp Set and the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper... both of wish are available as a free product pick during Sale-A-Bration (January 22 - March 22).

I love the colors in the Sycamore Street paper - they are very bright and cheery: Pool Party, Tangerine Tango, Island Indigo, Rich Razzleberry.

This card also features the vine embossing folder, which is also a Sale-A-Bration pick... I love this folder and it works great with the Madison Avenue Stamp set as it matches the green leaf stamp I used here.

A fourth Sale-A-Bration item featured on this card is the adorable little button -- the buttons and three rolls of coordinating ribbon are also a Sale-A-Bration pick once the promotion begins on January 22. As a reminder for those of you who may not be familiar with Sale-A-Bration, customers earn a free Sale-A-Bration pick for every $50 they spend. Hostess that have a $400 workshop/private class during the Sale-A-Bration time frame earn the Madison Avenue Stamp Set, the Sycamore Street Designer Series paper and the buttons and ribbon! Such an awesome deal.

Let me know if you'd like to be one of my first Sale-A-Bration parties this year... I've still got a couple more dates that first Sale-A-Bration weekend in January (25th-27th).

I'll be back again tomorrow with another card featuring the Madison Avenue Stamp set. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this first day of 2013. Happy New Year!

Top Five Tuesday: Happy New Year!

Happy 2013! I hope you had a fun celebration to ring in the new year. My excitement for the evening? Nursing a fever... such an exciting life I lead, yes?

I thought the best topic for my Top Five post today would be something New Year related.

I'm not feeling resolutions in the traditional sense this year, so I thought I'd share with you my top five "focus areas" for this fresh new year.

Spending more time with family & friends. If I learned anything in 2012 it was to not take anything for granted. So I want to reach out to my family and friends more often and make them more a part of my every day life. It will be tough, but so very worth it.

Building a more sustainable personal stamping business. I am amazed at how far I've come in just a year with my Stampin' Up business and I want that to continue to grow. I have lots of new offerings and some new ventures I'd like to tackle this year. Life is too short to say, "some day."

Living a more health-conscious life. I'm intentionally refraining from saying the "d" word (diet)... I don't want to "diet" in the traditional sense. I just want to be smarter about what I eat and get up and move more!

Be more adventurous and free-spirited. I know this one is rather vague, but I don't want to have regrets when I get older. Last year, I decided on a whim to travel to Utah and go on a solo excursion to a resort and day spa in Ivins, Utah for five days. It was a very rewarding and helpful trip for me. I'd love to do more "adventure" trips in 2013 -- and it doesn't have to be across the country, even simple little day trips will do. I just want to get out and live life.

Learn something new. This is rather generic as well -- in fact, I probably learn something new every day. But I want to make the effort to take on some "new" task in 2013 -- perhaps learning to speak French fluently, learning to dance, taking a college course online. I'm not sure exactly what the "new" will be, but I'm feeling an urge to learn.

Well, that's my take on 2013. How about you? Do you make resolutions? Are there things you'd like to work on in 2013? Please feel free to share in the comments. I'd love to know more about your goals for the brand spanking new year!

Be sure to come back and visit my blog again a bit later ... I'll be back with my first Sale-A-Bration Countdown post. Until then... Happy New Year!
