Jimmies or Sprinkles?

Well apparently all I needed to order from the new Stampin’ Up catalog was the Sprinkles of Life stamp set — because yes, I am back again with another sample using that set (I told you it was versatile!). In all honesty, I’m a little crazed trying to get ready for my Sale-A-Bration Celebration on Friday night and my new catalog launch party on Saturday! Just went through three boxes of retired goodies for pricing…. fun, fun, fun (not really, but the actual events will be fun!). Today’s card features another fun summer event — ice cream outings! Living on the Cape, I have a plethora of options when it comes to ice cream — and I am a big fan of “jimmies.” It’s so funny how you can always tell where someone is from by whether they ask for sprinkles or jimmies on their ice cream. Honestly, I grew up with “jimmies” but most of the time now I usually say sprinkles. Must be from all the weird looks I got during my out of state adventures. People really do look at you like your crazy! Anyway, on to today’s card. I used the cloud image from the Sprinkles

A Sunday Share…

Hello there! Happy Sunday… well, what’s left of it. I’m actually going to “hit the hay” as they say a bit early tonight — as soon as I finish writing this lil’ note to you! I’m sharing another card I made using the Sprinkles of Life Stamp set. I truly adore this stamp set and the coordinating tree builder punch. I couldn’t be happier that it is this year’s Ronald MacDonald Charity stamp set as I suspect I will sell A LOT of them in the next 12 months. It’s just so stinking cute — and incredibly versatile. Today I used the new In Color Cucumber Crush, which I must say was my least favorite In Color for this year, but I really adore how this one came out. It’s all pretty simple — all the stamps came from the Sprinkle of Life stamp set and the two small pieces of patterned paper came from the Cherry on Top 6×6 paper stack. I’ll have to showcase that paper on another card because it is really bright and bold — even though you wouldn’t get that from this card! So have you got your new Stampin’ Up catalog yet? What

So… Have you seen it?

I’m a little late in getting back here, but this beautiful little baby has been out in the world for almost one whole week now and I am so in love! It’s probably obvious at this point that I don’t have children… as I’m talking about my new Stampin’ Up catalog as if it were a child! 🙂 Unlike with children, however, I seem to like each new catalog better than the last and this year is no exception! I’ve been super busy the past week or so unfortunately there’s still TONS of unopened brand new toys in my craft room… gasp! But one of the first things I ordered way back a month ago (did you know as a demonstrator you get to have a sneak peek at new catalogs and pre-order from them a month in advance? Cool, right?) was the Sprinkles of Life stamp set. It is this year’s Ronald MacDonald House Charities stamp set. Each year Stampin’ Up selects a stamp set and donates a percentage of each sale to the Ronald MacDonald House Charities. This year it’s Sprinkles of Life and $3 of every stamp set purchase goes to RMHC. And I personally think this

More of my Favorites…

Hello there friends. Welcome back — two days in a row! I’m on a roll! I wanted to share with you a Progressive Scrapbooking page that I did for a private class this winter. I haven’t shared one of these in a while and it’s still one of my favorite tools for facing the blank 12 x 12 scrapbook page. So after I became a Stampin’ Up demonstrator NINE years ago (!), I started doing a lot more cards. That meant when I started facing the blank 12×12 page I often would get stumped. So one of the ways I counter that problem is to work in a progressive nature — I start by designing a 6×6 page (which is closer to the size of a card and that way a little less intimidating). So the photo to the left is a 6×6 page I created using the Something Borrowed Designer Series Paper from the 2015 Occasions Catalog. I LOVE this paper — it’s so versatile for every theme/topic/occasion. I also used one of my go-to scrapbooking sets these days — So You.Next, I make that 6×6 design the focus of an 8.5 x 11 page. You can see that

The Countdown is On….

Howdy friends! Hope you enjoyed a nice relaxing weekend. I actually had a great Saturday meeting some new friends at the second annual Cape Cod Mini Maker Faire at the Cape Cod Community College yesterday. And today was a nice relaxing day… caught up on some cleaning, took a nice nap and have been thinking about doing a little stamping but considering it’s 8:30 p.m. and I haven’t ventured to the craft table yet — that’s probably not going to happen! Instead, I thought I’d pop on here and say hello as it’s been a while… So did you hear? Stampin’ Up is releasing it’s brand new 2015-2016 Idea Book and Catalog on Tuesday, June 2nd! Just two days away (well, really just a little over one day now)! Do you have the new catalog yet? If not, let me know and I’ll send you one… Today I’m sharing a card made with a stamp set that didn’t get much love from me over the last couple of years (I hate when that happens!). This one is called “Four Frames” and features four really great images that can all be punched out with the decorative label punch (one of my
