SSINKspiration Countdown: Day 5

Hey there stampers… Happy New Catalog day! I’m so excited for the Stampin’ Up 2017 Occasions catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochure. It’s going to be a fabulous three months! Today I’m jumping in on the final day of the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKspiration Countdown to the new catalog (nothing like coming in at the last minute, right?). We’re falling in love with the “Falling in Love” suite on pages 50 and 51 of the Occasions catalog. The new Falling in Love designer series paper is gorgeous and you can see it featured on so many of the samples from the Stylin’ Stampin’ Design team (hey, did I mention that I’m a design team member? Pretty cool, right?). Be sure to check out all of the work by the fabulous SSINKspiration designers HERE… they seriously are amazing. I’m so excited to be stamping alongside these ladies this year. Want to see what I did with this suite? Here it is: I actually got the idea for this beauty from a sample in the Occasions catalog (page 52). See it’s so much more than a catalog! I used the Falling Petals Embossing folder (love this one… it’s a lot like the falling snow embossing

Save the Date!

Hi friends…Can you believe it? Twice in one week? I’m seriously going to try and be better about the old blog. It was always my way to connect with you and for some reason it became too difficult. It was funny at OnStage last week, I was talking with a lot of my demonstrator friends and I was amazed how many of them knew my blog… really? You mean the one that hasn’t been updated in six months?? Time to fix that! Anywho… I did an initial run through my craft room this morning to find all the retiring items in my stash — holy moly! Look at that picture — that is a lot of goods up for grabs! As always, I’ll be hosting my annual Customer Appreciation/Retired Merchandise BOGO sale this summer to celebrate the launch of the new catalog (have I mentioned that it is amazing?). I’d love to have you join me… so save the date! Saturday, June 4 and possibly either Friday, June 3 or Sunday, June 5th as well. I know that weekend is likely to be graduation weekend for some folks so I’ll try and give a couple of options for you to

For the Love of Animals…

Hey there! Welcome back. For those of you that don’t know me so well… I have a very small (just kidding… a HUGE) love for animals especially doggies! So when I saw a request for vendors at a local craft fair to support our local animal shelter I couldn’t sign up fast enough! And while it wasn’t super busy (it was the first time they’ve done this fair), it was SO much fun… the event and the prep for it! I made some really fun exclusive crafts for the fair and I thought I’d share them with you today! First up were some birthday cards. I used two stamp sets from the 2015-2016 Idea Book and Catalog for all these projects. The first one is Hot Diggity Dog and the second was You Little Furball. Here are the stamp sets: Hot Diggity Dog You Little Furball So, as I said first up was some birthday cards. I made all my projects with a “dog variety” and a cat variety: I used the new Go Wild 6×6 paper stack from the new 2015-2016 annual catalog as the patterned paper for all four of these cards. I must say I kind of

Top Five Tuesday: Sent With Love

Hi There! How did it get to be Tuesday again? Geesh… well, I guess we’ll do a Top Five Tuesday post today and then I promise the next post will be Part 2 of the scrapbook pages. So I thought today I’d show you five of the 10 cards I made using the Sent With Love bundle. Have you seen it? It is so stinkin’ cute and only around for another few weeks (through April 30). Let me show you the bundle first… it includes the Sent With Love stamp set (clear only), the Sent With Love Designer Series Paper and the Calypso Coral Baker’s Twine: Cute, yes? So how did I come up with these 10 cards? I cut out all of the tags from ONE sheet of the Designer Series Paper … here it is: And then I turned all of those little pieces into embellishments for cards! The 10 cards came together super quick. So in addition to the one I showed you at the top of this post here are my four other favorites: What do you think? Easy peasy, right? Well guess what… if you would like to copy these cards AND the five additional cards

Crafty Snow Day…

Hello there crafty friends…. So I did so well posting in January and then I just went MIA, huh? Anyway, I’m back after a half-day in my pjs and lots of ink on my fingers! I love when I get to enjoy a snow day!!! It took a while to get my mojo back today, but I think I’m up and running again. I made this first card for a club project in February. I wanted to do the Crayon Resist technique again, which I used on both the background element and the popped up flowers on this card. This was one of those projects where I had no idea where I was going when I started. I just knew I wanted to use the crayon resist technique. So I pulled out the Embrace Life stamp set because I thought the cherry blossom type flowers would make a good background panel — and it did! Then it just needed something else so I added the two larger flowers and used clear rhinestone brads in the center… and I have to say I’m happy with how it came out! You know how I can tell when I’ve made a good card?

Take a look at Build-A-Bear

Hi there! Hope your week is off to a good start… I’m feeling a little behind trying to get caught up after a scrapbooking retreat this weekend. I was a vendor at the Crazy For Croppin’ event here on the Cape Thursday through Sunday and had a lot of fun. I didn’t, however, get much accomplished in the scrapbooking department! Oh well… it was still fun to teach a class and reconnect with some scrapping friends I only get to see twice a year. I did manage to play with my new Build-A-Bear Big Shot dies and Pawsitively Prints Designer Series Paper. I made the two cuties above Friday. The dies are so very cute and they have so many different options! I also played with the new Build-A-Bear stamp set called Beary Best Friends and the coordinating sentiment set called Beary Nice Wishes. I made these two cards as a make-and-take for the ladies at the event: I need to finish the couple of scrapbook pages I did over the weekend before I post them here. I just need to add some journaling and titles to a couple of pages before they are ready to be posted. Attending the
