Emerging from the fog (er… winter)

I think I’m finally (albeit slowly) emerging from this brutal, late-blooming winter. I’m finally feeling as though I have a bit of energy. It’s amazing what a little sun will do, huh? The spring is always like a new year for me — it signifies a clean slate, starting over and beginning again. I have to say I think I like the start of spring even better than a fresh new year — because it means sunshine, flip flops and beach time are right around the corner! Do you like my card today? I thought it was appropriate. It uses the amazing stamp set called Crazy About You. Tons and tons of greeting card possibilities with that set and if you add the Hello Life thinlits to your collection you have even more options! Want to know a trick to get those teeny, tiny word pieces out of your die? Wax paper! Just make sure you put the wax paper in between the die and your cardstock. Works like a charm. You may still need a piercing tool or something sharp to poke a corner or two to get it started, but so much easier than fighting with the cardstock

Have you seen it?

This new Holiday Catalog from Stampin’ Up is amazing… by far the best I’ve ever seen! I had to look through it like 10 times before I saw everything — it’s bigger and full, full, full of great products and ideas. What are you waiting for? Go check it out here now! 🙂 You can start buying goodies from this baby today — it’s a month earlier than SU normally releases their holiday catalog so you can get a head start on those great crafting projects you have planned for the holidays! Another great tid-bit of info for today is that the new MDS2 is launching! If you are not familiar with our digital paper crafting program, My Digital Studio, now is a great time to become familiar with it. It has always been great for make digital cards, scrapbook pages, photo books, banners and so much more — but now you can use it for canvases! That’s really exciting to me… it also has over 75 other great new features including being able to design in two-page spreads, use multiple colors on a stamp brush, recolor an existing embellishment, recolor a photo, text shaping and so much more! Surprise!

Hello. It’s me, Jen. I used to blog here a long, long, long time ago! I can’t believe it has been four months since I’ve showed up here. Honestly, it’s not because I didn’t want to. I thought about it often, but felt too much pressure to keep coming back! 😉 While I’m not promising anything, I do want to have a more regular presence around here again. I miss my little blog… and my two or three readers. 😉 It’s full-on holiday preparation time over here in crafty land. I’ve got two card classes this week, plus a make and take event. Then there’s a holiday gift class and a bags & tags class before I take a break for a little while for the holiday. Don’t worry though, I won’t be stopping with the stamping. Come Dec. 1, I get to pre-order some fun new goodies from the new Occasions Mini Catalog and I plan to make all sorts of fun new things with my new toys — I first have to narrow down my wish list to a more reasonable amount! Not an uncommon problem for me these days… the new products Stampin’ Up is coming out

One More!

Hello there my blog friends! So I had been waiting to post to the blog because I wanted to share a card for a change, but I just haven’t had a minute to download some photos I took this week. Of course, I can’t post without sharing a little eye candy so I figured I would show you ANOTHER progressive scrapbook page. I did very well in March with getting some scrapbooking done since I had five workshops. This is is actually a page I did for an April workshop. This photo was taken at Leadership 2010 of me and a new stamping friend I made while I was there. Her name is Susan and she was fabulous! She even ditched her friends at lunch one day so that I wouldn’t have to sit by myself (not that I would have really sat by myself as everyone is so awesome and inviting — I would have just sat with a different new friend!). The journaling reads, “The love of stamps makes strangers into instant friends.” And at convention or Leadership it is so true! You have never seen a crazier bunch of women. lol! I used the Dreams du Jour

Lazy Sunday…

Hello there! I am having a rather lazy Sunday. Didn’t get up until 9:30! and now I’m just flitting around cleaning up here, stamping this, reading that, watching the tube, etc. I love days when I don’t have anything I “HAVE” to do. I wish it were a little nicer out so I could go for a walk or something, but alas, it’s not! Maybe if I get really ambitious (although it’s not looking good for my ambition) I’ll do my yoga tape later. It’s only 20 minutes, but boy I sure do feel it the next day! I made this scrapbook page last weekend when I was at the Crazy For Croppin event here in Hyannis. I wanted to put together a very simple, coordinated 8.5 X 11 album about my Sturbridge trip earlier this year with my Mom, Sister, SIL and niece. I managed to do a couple of pages last week, but this is the only one that is actually finished. The others don’t have titles or journaling… I kind of lost steam last weekend. Maybe I’ll finish those up today. This album is going to be for me to keep, but I also want to work
