Going Above & Beyond…

If there is one thing that Stampin’ Up knows how to do, it is to spoil it’s top achievers! This company knows how to put together an incentive trip and is the absolute best at pulling off all those little details. Anyway, I wanted to share some more photos from my trip to Thailand courtesy of Stampin’ Up. From the moment we arrive, we are treated like royalty. Stampin’ Up rented the entire Angsana Laguna resort for us (so only Stampin’ Up families and staff were on site)! Here are some photos from the resort: First we were welcomed with our name on our door. It’s really fun to walk down the hallway and find all the names of my fellow achievers and friends! This was the view from our balcony This was our room This was outside one of the restaurants (Baan Talay) I loved all these adorable little lanterns. They were really beautiful when it was all lit up at night. The entire resort was set in the middle of a lagoon, so there were fun little “rivers” and bridges throughout the resort. Here’s one of the cute bridges. The resort was huge! We were still discovering new

Stampin’ Up Incentive Trip: Thailand Swap Inspiration

How did it get to be Friday already? Seriously, this week has been a whirlwind. I’m sorry I’m a day late with this post — I had all good intentions of getting these swap cards up yesterday, but Thursday was a marathon of meetings… I didn’t even get to eat lunch yesterday! I was so happy to get back home at 10PM and just plop on my couch! Anyway, as promised, here are some of my favorite swaps from the Thailand incentive trip. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo of my own swap so I can’t share that with you — but these are awesome so I’m sure you’ll find some great inspiration here! In no particular order… This beauty was made by Winona Semler, Canada I love this one — I’m going to need to make one of these, too! This one is by Barbara Lash, Massachusetts (Funny how I go to the other side of the world to swap cards with someone right in my own state, right?? 🙂 This lovely is by Debra Burgin, Illinois This card inspired this week’s Teach Me Tuesday video! I love this one by my friend Lorri Heiling, Arizona This set

Feeling Grungy?

Hi there… I’m back to share another card that features a retiring stamp set. This is a great “boy” card stamp set — especially those tween years. Here I made the stamp set a bit more “girly” with my color choices, but it really is a great stamp set for a variety of occasions and people. It goes great with another favorite of mine (that sadly I never even inked up the rubber), Extreme Elements. Both are retiring as of May 31. So get them here ASAP. You may be able to score this stamp set featured today, called Grunge Rock, at my Buy One Get One event on Saturday, June 2. I have A LOT of retiring products including stamps, paper, ink and embellishments that will be up for grabs. This is going to be a fantastic deal as for every $1 you spend in cash & carry retiring products, you’ll get equal dollars to spend in the brand spanking new 2012-2013 Idea Book and Catalog. Score, right? That all happens on Saturday, June 2 at my house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. E-mail me if you want more details or need directions. In the meantime, here is another card that features “Grunge Rock.”   This one

It’s a Flower Fest!

Boy am I glad it is Friday. This week was rough. I’m happy I’ll be able to spend some time with my Mom tomorrow and hopefully get caught up on a bunch of things (mostly cleaning) that need to get done at the house, too. I thought I’d share another card featuring a favorite retiring stamp set of mine. This one is called Flower Fest and I love how it looks like crayons when you stamp it. Click on the photo to see it up close – you’ll see what I mean. Go ahead — I’ll wait. 😉 This also features two retiring In Colors – Blushing Bride and Poppy Parade. I really like both of these colors. Oh, actually I just realized there is another retiring color mixed in there — Pear Pizzazz. That has been one of my absolute favorite greens lately. If you haven’t stocked up, run to the online store (or rather click) ASAP as the In Color items tend to sell out quickly. Just two more weeks until we have the new Idea Book and Catalog to play with! I know you’re going to love it! Want a copy? E-mail me and I’ll set it up to be delivered directly to your door. I just ask that

Hello. Here I am…. It’s still Monday! For those of you who are on my e-mail list, I promised you a post today about this fun match book scrapbook album that I made for some Easter photos. Well, it’s still Monday, so while I didn’t have it up first thing this morning, I still held up my end of the bargain! This is a fun project to do for National Scrapbooking Day on May 5. How’s that for coincidence… National Scrapbooking Day falls on my birthday and on Cinco De Mayo this year — too bad I’ll be working this year. I’m sure I’ll have time to go out with the girls after our concert… Maybe I’ll be able to even squeeze in some scrapbooking in the morning and make it fully complete birthday celebration! Anyway, back to the topic! This is a great project to do in one sitting. I’m thinking of maybe doing it as a class… anyone interested? It’s pretty simple with just three pieces of cardstock stitched together. Here are some more photos: Here’s a view with the top open. It has 10 pages inside to decorate and showcase photos. You simply take a sheet of cardstock

Let’s play catch up….

Well, I have returned from Convention and I had so much fun I don’t even know where to begin for a recap! I had planned to show you a bunch of the displays, some main stage demos, some new friends, some great new project ideas, but unfortunately, I misplaced my camera on the way home so the only picture I have is this wee little one of general session on the first official morning. I think there were about 5,000 or so of us… so much fun! I actually won prize patrol, which means I got a new package of Designer Series Paper and a stamp set out of the upcoming Holiday Mini Catalog. I am in so much trouble with that mini…. soooo much fun stuff in there! Now as a demo, I actually get to pre-order some of that stuff TOMORROW! yipee 🙂 If you want to take a gander at it and earn 30% off your first order within 45 days… run (don’t walk) to my Web site — well, I guess you wouldn’t need to run or walk as you are probably already on the internet… lol) and sign up today for the $99 starter kit.

Grrrr….

I honestly don’t mean to keep going MIA on you! It’s really nothing personal! I am truly tired of this winter. I know I shouldn’t be complaining as it is a really trivial issue, but it just has been kicking my butt! Between just the cold, gray days and the dumb virus I got over the last week, I just don’t feel like I can catch up and March is a busy, busy month! So if you are wondering where I went to last week… well I was curled up on the couch with a blankie pretty much permanently for the entire last half of last week. No stamping. No eating. No talking. No sleeping! I spent the last two rainy days holed up in my stamp room to catch up — and I think I did…. at least for now. But this is going to be a super busy week with Stamp Club and three workshops still to go! (Not that I’m complaining!) So needless to say not a lot to show you. I will hopefully have some cards to show you from my card class last night when I get them uploaded. In the meantime, let me show

For the little ones…

You almost caught me today! I was coming upstairs to shut down the computer and call it a night (and it’s only 9 p.m!) when I remembered that I hadn’t posted today. But, not to worry — here I am. It will be a quick post though as I am exhausted and am going to hit the hay as they say… I have one friend that just had a baby girl and another that is going to have a baby girl in just a few weeks — so here is a new baby card that I plan to send along to one of them (with a little gree, too). This card was a bit of a challenge as I don’t currently have any baby stamp sets. So I used the adorable little bear from the new stamp set called Every Little Bit and although it took me a while to figure out how to make this tiny little image th focus of a rather large card (at least it seems large when you are only working with a 1″ stamp!)… I like how it came out. Well, that’s about all I’ve got left today — I don’t really know why

Vintage Vibe…

I’m loving the vintage trend that is popular in the papercrafting industry right now. The lace, the subtle colors and old school feel of the products are fabulous. I made this card using the new Greeting Card Kids stamp set from the 2010-2011 Stampin’ Up Idea Book & Catalog. It’s the same set I used to make a Halloween card recently as well. For those of you on my e-newsletter list, you saw the Halloween card in the newsletter. On this card I used my blender pens and ink from my ink pad cover (squeeze the ink pad while it is closed and it will leave a little “puddle” of ink you can pick up with the blender pens). I love how it gave the card a softer look than using straight markers. I also love the new paper ribbon punch (the scallop edge under the torn piece of crumb cake cardstock). It is so fun — You can use it as a tiny scallop underneath another piece of cardstock or use it as a strip of “ribbon”…. so fun. Well that is all for now… I’ve got LOTS of stuff going on in the coming months so be sure

I want to go to Disney World — and you can come, too!

The first and last time I was in Disney World was 20 years ago. That seems so impossible, but, unfortunately, is true. I was a Freshman in High School and we drove down to Florida on two large Peter Pan buses so the band could perform at Sea World. It was an experience I will remember for the rest of my life… and not just because I got stuck in the hamburgler statue (remember him?) at the McDonalds PlayPlace (what? I was dared!) or because I can still hear the loud chatter of 60 teenagers on a bus. For 24 hours straight. With no sleep. lol. It truly is a magical place and turns everyone into a kid again…. no matter how old they are. That is why I was so excited to learn I could earn a trip to Disney… all expenses paid… for two…. and be pampered like I’ve never been pampered before just for doing something I love. Those of you that know me or who have been following my blog for a while, know that I love Stampin’ Up. I’ve worked with two other direct sales organizations (for very short periods of time) before I joined
