Quick post

I was fortunate in March to have more workshops than normal and that means more scrapbook pages! So I figured I’d share another progressive scrapbook page with you today since I haven’t been able to put together any insightful or entertaining posts recently. This was a 6 X 6 make and take we made at a workshop late last month. I find progressive scrapbooking is great not only for new scrapbookers, but also for cardmakers, too since the smaller size is a similar size canvas to a card. You can’t really see it in the picture but the background is stamped with the flower image from “With All My Heart” out of the Occasions Mini Catalog. The 8.5 X 11 page looked like this: As you can see I just mounted the 6 X 6 on a polka dot patterned paper (from the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper Pack) and added a small strip of Dusty Durango to the side. You could easily add photos along the left hand side or add a title there with some smaller photos under the main photo…. You get the idea. I have to say I even surprise myself sometimes with how quickly these

I LOVE Stampin’ Up!

I’ve always thought Stampin’ Up is a great company to work for/with… and after returning from my first Leadership conference in Phoenix, Arizona, I am even more happy with this organization that I have chosen to represent. Just look at all the goodies I took home from Phoenix. Now, the adorable little canvas bags I paid for at Memento Mall (a fabulous little store made up of all Stampin’ Up logo merchandise), but the rest of the goods were FREE! The black and white bag in the corner was our Leadership bag. At each Stampin’ Up event, attendees are given a bag to tote around all their really cool swaps, purchases and freebies. This bag says “Love What You Do”, which was the theme of Leadership. You’ll also notice two stamps sets there… the smaller one is “With All My Heart,” which was given to all demonstrators attending in their Leadership Bag. As many of you know from all the samples I’ve shown of that stamp set, that I love it and… I already own it, which means… someone is going to win the one I got at leadership very soon! (I’ll have details on how in a later post).

Happy New Year

Welcome 2010! I hope you all had a wonderful celebration for the end of 2009. I have high hopes for 2010. I love the beginning of a new year. Fresh starts always inspire me and I have a lot of fresh starts for this year … I’ll have more on that in a later post. For now, I wanted to show you another sneak peek from the Occasions Mini Catalog that goes live on Jan. 5. This card uses the “With all My Heart” stamp set again and the new Chocolate Chip epoxy brads. New on this card, (by new, I mean that you haven’t seen before — as I know all of the goodies on the card are essentially new!) Is new paper from the Sweet Pea Paper pack. It is absolutely adorable and probably one of my favorite new products! It is a 12 X 12 paper stack with a total of 48 sheets of paper (2 each of 24 double-sided designs). And you HAVE to have the matching Sweet Pea stitched felt (not shown here). Sooo cute! Guess what? You can actually view the ENTIRE new mini Occasions catalog on my website. The mailing of the catalogs

Another Sneak Peek…

I realized today that I am only one week away from taking my first plane trip all by myself! That also means that I am waaayyy behind in making my card swaps for my first Stampin’ Up Leadership event! I have to be honest I’m very nervous about this adventure, which includes catching connecting flights both to and from Phoenix! — but I am so excited about attending Leadership… it should be very inspiring and motivating… I still haven’t decided what I want to do for my swaps… but I’m hoping to play some more tonight and I guess I’ll have to be a little more focused on creating a card that is easily mass-produced. Anyway, on to my next sneak peek card… This card uses the Sending Love Designer Series Paper featured in the new Occasions Mini Ccatalog. It also used the our new Sending Love Epoxy Brads (the 1/4″ Chocolate Chip version… there are also 1/2 inch versions in Pretty in Pink and Real Red). I made the flower using my full heart punch and arranging them in the form of a flower. Then I stamped the center flower using the new “With All My Heart” stamp set
